Summer 2013

Here's a neighborhood Red-Tailed Hawk in a peach tree at the Lyle Center for Regenerative Studies

Here I am teaching a beekeeping workshop for Doug Kent's Ecological Land Management Class

And this is an image from the chicken harvesting/processing workshop in the same class

Here's Doug and I at the Municipal Green Building Conference and Expo

Before I left, I got to go halfway to Catalina Island to collect ocean water with some UCI students studying picoplankton (plankton so small it can't hold all of its DNA at one time).  Scientists only discovered picoplankton 15 years ago, but it makes up 20% of the ocean's mass!!

Back home in North Carolina...Here's a stone patio and some stairs that I helped my friend with for her client.

This is this year's garlic harvest!  Keith Stewart's Rocambole from NY
